Writing – Is it simply nouns and adjectives, verb and adverbs, determiners and pronouns arranged in some sort of “proper” grammatical order? Well, yes it is and no it really isn’t. In writing well, there’s also rhythm and meter, tempo, texture and sound to wrestle with. What separates you as a writer from the writer sitting next to you? What separates interesting writing from boring writing? In a word it’s style – particularly YOUR style. This session is designed to give you some tools to be a better writer and to grow your own style as a writer.It's at Saturday August 15th at 1pm.
I realize there are a few caveats that need to be addressed: first, that I know what good writing is and second, that I'd know how to achieve it.
Valid points, of course. (On the other hand, I have been doing this for almost eleven years.)
